Homecare Aide Job Description

1. Valid driver’s license with a safe and verifiable driving record (optional)
2. High School diploma or equivalent required
3. Documentation of a physical examination no more than six months prior to employment
4. Have a clear background check at the time of hiring
5. Is not listed in the excluded provider from the federal Department of Health and Human Services
6. Successful completion of pre-service training
7. Being present at mandatory training

1. Assist the client in daily activities
2. Responsible for meal planning and preparation
3. Keep the home in the optimum state of cleanliness and safety
4. Help the client with mobility needs
5. Responds immediately to any medical emergencies by notifying emergency response providers and render First Aid until ER personnel arrive
6. Report service hours using Electronic Visit Verification
7. Other duties as assigned

1. Provide support and assistance to clients and home care aides
2. Prioritize duties and be able to manage large caseloads
3. Responsibly manage clientele files and keep required documentation up to date
4. Work with case managers and case management units to establish professional relationships and relay relevant information
5. Help expand the business into new areas through word of mouth and professional networking
6. Conduct home visits to client’s homes in Lombard and the surrounding suburbs
